Hello, my friends...long time since I have written. What a busy time it has been. Between traveling and singing, taking care of my 92 year old mother (Queenie) and looking after Ron, there hasn’t been much time for blogging. Many of you know that my husband, Ron, has been very ill since August. He had been diagnosed with melanoma at two locations. They were removed and subsequent biopsies came back clear, thank the Lord. But one incision became infected and sent him to the hospital for ten days with severe streptococcus and sepsis. He is on the mend now but there are some residual complications that are being treated with physical therapy. This has been a trying time for Ron, particularly when the “patient” isn’t used to being a patient. We are so thankful for good health all these years, so this was a new experience for both of us!
I have so much to tell you about the events in our lives and will try to get caught up in these next weeks. Oh, yes, Thanksgiving and Christmas...are they really coming up so soon? I am excited since Christmas is my favorite time of year. But before that, I will have about 16 for Thanksgiving dinner. And thankful??? Oh, yes, so thankful for Jesus and His provision of salvation; for my faithful husband and wonderful family and of course, my terrific friends. And may I add a photo of a delightful addition to our home? Mary is her name and she is a beauty. Can you guess why her name is Mary?
As my friend, Dr. Bob Cook, used to say, “walk with the King today and be a blessing!” Thankful for you....Diane
